Feel free to submit your solution (of which there may be multiple correct ones and even more numerous incorrect ones) in the comments below. My solution for last week's puzzle appears in its comments section.

8:30PM?

Speeds:
Rocket-powered mule: 50MPH
Injured mule: 10MPH
You on foot: 5MPH

Times:
12:00-1:00 - Covered 50 miles @ 50MPH
1:00-3:30 - Covered 25 miles @ 10MPH
3:30-8:30 - Covered 25 miles @ 5MPH

I think that's right. BTW, that is a hilarious puzzle.

yep, that's what I got too...

But I'm just amazed by the determination of... well, of me, for not turning back, and the speed of this mule. He's damn fast.

Can you make a flash animation of the rocket-powered mule... it's the transportation solution we've all been looking for.

Ha--Absolutely. I'll get right on it.

And yes, as far as I know that's the correct answer. This is the first time I haven't had to post the solution to the ideabook puzzle, so well done Anonymous/Will!

I agree that the rocket-powered mule sounds like a great alternate mode of transportation. I bet Al Gore wouldn't approve of the fuel we'd have to use to get that donkey moving though. =(

Anyway, I posted the solution as anonymous, but I'll use my Gmail account from now (I didn't see the option when I posted and just fired through).

Thanks again for the puzzle!

I would agree with all above. However, it has been my experience that arachnid gypsies have a negative effect on the space/time continuom. This would cause a gap of 4 hours and 23 minutes. This would cause you to arrive at your destination at 4:07 pm (assuming you did not cross into any new time zones and the daylight savings adjustment has not occured).
