Ask Hawkins B.A. : Baking Problems

Ask Hawkins B.A.

Welcome again to the advice column where each week I answer questions on absolutely any topic. ANY TOPIC! Simply submit it via email or USPS, or submit it in the comments below. Carrier pigeons are no longer accepted.

This week's question comes from Jenny in Oakland who writes:

Hi. I interviewed earlier this week for a job in a bakery, and afterwards baked a "thank you" cake for them. But I think I might've gotten mixed up and accidently sent them the cake with an emory board baked inside that was intended for my imprisoned boyfriend. What should I do?

First of all, for future reference, cigarettes would have been a more useful contraband to smuggle in the baked goods. But on the subject of the question, I would bake yet another cake, and overnight it with "Don't Eat the First Cake!" written in icing on the top.
