![]() | ![]() Rise of the Skunk Falls Anaheim, CA Mike Hawkins July 10, 2007 Disney announced that the much anticipated Bambi sequel, Bambi IV: Rise of the Skunk, was officially cancelled on Monday. "As previously reported, all production on direct-to-video sequels has halted and will not be resumed," said a representative of Disney Animation. "Rumors that Rise of the Skunk would survive the cuts because of its advanced stage of production are unfounded." Rise of the Skunk was to follow the skunk Flower, suited in full cybernetic gear, as he avenged the evironmental damage done by humans in a post-apocalyptic world. Cancellation of the nearly finished film has cost Disney $235 million. In related movie news, Are We Having Fun Yet?, the sequel to the films Are We Done Yet? and Are We There Yet?, due to star Wesley Snipes and Drew Carey, has also been cancelled.
